Export Restrictions

The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) is a worldwide agreement for the protection of animals, birds, reptiles and plants within their native environment through the regulation of trade and export.

Skyravenwolf.com fully supports the objectives of CITES and other protection programmes.

The only CITES listed items of recent origin we handle and incorporate into our products are naturally moulted feathers from healthy birds from Schedule 2 or lower. These are sourced in the UK by us from known ethical aviaries or well loved pets.

A number of items from very old previously owned products (such as reclaimed Victorian taxidermy) are occasionally incorporated into some of our new items such as bags.

Customs regulations relating to CITES are extremely complex. They vary widely from country to country and change regularly. We certainly do not pretend any expertise in international law, so we tend to err well on the side of caution.

There are some items that we will not supply to countries outside the EU, and a few that we will not supply to countries outside the UK. This policy is in place due to the customs certification and documentation processes required which are simply not covered by our product prices.

Most of the products on the website do not have any customs complications, and the above comments only apply to items marked by us as restricted supply.

Frequently we can offer an alternative product with a very similar look and feel (but using different feathers, for example).

You are more than welcome to contact us if you have a particular need.
